Site:  Nasca Clados Number:  225 Culture:  Nasca Description:  vase portraying nobleman, drawing after Lavalle 1986, 143. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 7 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Bird Mythical Being 9 (BMB-9), a Late Nasca bird mythical being as motif on the tunic of the man. It is depicted with Rayed Feline Face Bloody Mouth head type, human body with legs, wings, and tail. Feathers replaced by volute rays. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 7 Phase. Iconographic Features:  Bird Mythical Being 9 (BMB-9) as motif on the mantle of the warrior. It is depicted with Rayed Feline Face Bloody Mouth head type, human body with legs, wings, and tail. Feathers replaced by volute rays. BMB-9 is depicted in bird’s-eye view. Chronological Era:  Early Intermediate Period (EIP), Nasca 7 Phase. Iconographic Features:  two different colour versions of the Bird Mythical Being 9 (BMB-9) as motif on the mantle of the warrior. BMB-9 is depicted with Rayed Feline Face Bloody Mouth head type, human legs, wings, and cat (?) tail. Feathers replaced by rays. BMB-9 is depicted in bird’s-eye view. Iconographic Features:  Bird Mythical Being 9 (BMB-9) depicted with Rayed Feline Face head type, human body, human arms and legs, wings, and tail. Feathers of the wings and the tail replaced by rays. BMB-9 is depicted in bird’s-eye view. Attached to the sleeve of the left arm is a One-Eyed Rayed Face, maybe shown in the moment of attacking BMB-9.
